The tennis program is open
to all age groups. The two, three, and four week programs
are an excellent way to improve your game in all areas as
well as meet new tennis partners. Each camper will be evaluated
and placed into an instructional group according to his
or her ability level. The ultimate way to improve your tennis
is to attend a four to twelve day intensive program.

Lunch will be available at the Rutgers Prep Dining Pavilion
for a fee of $6 dollars per day. Tennis campers and supervisory
staff members will have lunch in the pavilion at 12-12:30
PM. Campers and Staff who bring their own lunch will be
included in this group.
Fridays will be reserved for rain/ makeup dates.
Rutgers Preparatory School
is located at 1345 Easton Ave. in Somerset, NJ. It is five
minutes from downtown New Brunswick with convenient access
to route 287 and Route 18.
Rutgers Prep. offers 5 hard courts in a pleasant wooded
area overlooking the Raritan River.
The Fee for One Week
All Day Camp (4 days - 9am to 5 pm) is $300.00 or $80.00
per day. An extra 5 % discount is offered to Full Day Campers
only who pay in full prior to June. Campers needing early
or after care will be charged $10 per hour.

The camp will run from Monday
to Thursday 9AM to 5 PM.
If a day is cancelled due to rain, makeup will be on Friday.
Program will teach basic skills including the forehand,
backhand, serve, and volley. It will also teach students
how to score and play sets and matches.
Program will teach all strokes and strategy including specialty
shots such as drop shots, spin and slice strokes, and serves.
Intermediate campers will also learn a variation of styles
Program will work on drills to improve accuracy and consistency
under pressure and utilize training routines for mental
and match toughness. The advanced players will learn all
stages of training and conditioning for match and tournament
be achieved through various combinations of fun filled drills
that will improve footwork, conditioning, stroke form, consistency
and accuracy while gradually increasing the level of difficulty
as the player becomes more proficient at each step. This
training, combined with various forms of match play, entrains
sound, consistent strokes and match toughness. Student to
instructor ratio is 5 to 1, plus Ed Ransom directing.
Half Day AM Session
9 am - 12 pm (3 hours)=$160 per week or $45 per day.
Half Day PM Session
1pm - 5pm (4hours)=$215 or $55 per day
A $100.00 deposit
per week per person is required to reserve a space in all
camps. Due to the increasing attendance in the last 7 years
some sessions will fill more rapidly. Rutgers Prep, which
has only five courts and a capacity for twenty five campers,
will soon be full. So to guarantee your space we recommend
sending in your deposit as soon as you know your schedule.
